I'm in the market for a new foundation. Although I love the look of Everyday minerals (and recommend it for those who have the time), I want something that'll just take one step to apply instead of about 4 (finish powder, concealer, foundation, and finishing powder again). I've decided that a tinted moisturizer is probably for me since I have nice skin (I'm 22 and without pimples) and that I just need a concealer for under my eyes. I'm willing to spend about $30 (+-) on a foundation if it can last, has SPF in it, and actually match my skin color. (in between: pale and "I've been out in the sun" tan) What are your opinions on these brands of tinted moisturizer:
-Physicia Formula
-You Rebel (regular, not lite)
-Clinique's (many different kinds- I might visit their counter but would they be pissed if I tried these on and didn't buy them?)

-
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer Tinted Moisturizer

Do they make you orange? Do they just even out the skin tone? Do they leave your skin dewy or greasy looking? Does your skin come out looking unnatural in any way? Anything else you might want to add too would be helpful.

PS: I've looked through all the memories and they weren't really too helpful on the types and how they looked (just tips on how to wear them, which I know, and just randomness of which ones to use without explanation). I've tried Revlon's skinlights and it sucked (way too "glittery/shimmy" for me).

Hi ladies,

I am a fair skinned girl who has a sprinkling of freckles over her nose. In the summer I tend to get a lot more from the sun, and they get much more defined. I love when this happens, except this summer I haven't been outdoors as much due to a busy work schedule. Are there any ways you freckly girls make your freckles stand out?

I have wavy layered hair that is a bit below my shoulders. I like to wear it wavy, but my hair gets so BIG at the back. It looks nice from the front but then it is just... HUGE at the back. Any ideas how I can make it "flatter" at the back? I've tried having my hair thinned but it didn't help. I've tried using things like frizz-ease as well but they suck and do nothing but make my hair greasy and sticky, despite using the smallest amount.

i've always had problematic skin; oily, acne-prone facial skin and dry and scar-prone skin everywhere else. i have questions about both that i hope you girls can help with! =D

1) re. oily acne-prone facial skin:
i've realised that my skin has been much less prone to oilyness since i started using simple's shine manager moisturiser for oily skin; also, my acne has gone down quite alot thanks to proactiv's advanced blemish treatment. however, the problem remains that i still have some scars/pigmentation problems left from my healed pimples.

i've just started using my mum's beauticontrol regeneration gold serum (don't know how well known this is outside singapore), but i feel kind of bad using it because it's a tad difficult to procure. is there any kind of off-the-counter, easily accessible brand that i can turn to?

2) re. dry and scar-prone skin:
i'm really clueless as what i've got to do with this. i have faint scars that are from years ago; scars that are weeks-old usually look very dark. is there any product or method i can use to reduce the obvious poor pigmentation?

so far the only product that reduces the itchiness from the dryness of my skin seems to be qv cream, but it doesn't seem to make much difference for scarring.

thanks in advance, everyone! =)

I'm looking into buying Philosophy's Purity Made Simple cleanser & Hope in a Jar and was wondering if anyone has tried them? If so, how did you like it?

Thanks in advance~

How would one use these Ardell Brow Trim & Shape eyebrow razors, particularly to trim hairs? I'm afraid to accidentally shave mine off! Thanks. :)

Ok I looked at some old entries but didn't find what I was looking for.

I was wondering how long fake eyelashes last?
Can you clean and reuse?
Can you leave them on for a few days?
I've always just used them for photoshoots then took them off.

Also, eyelash extensions.
A place by my house does them for pretty cheap.
Anyone experience this?
Also how long do they last usually?

Yes so all your info on false eyelashes would be nice here xD
Thanks everyone!

Have any of you ever tried the http://www.acne.org skin care regimen? Has it worked for you? I've tried just about everything from Proactiv to prescription acne medication from the dermatologist and nothing has worked for more than a couple months.

Have any of you ever gotten an acne facial before? Did you notice a significant improval in your skin? Is it only a one time thing or do you have to keep going back to see results? What do you have to do to maintain it?

Do the foundations that claim to match your skin really work?

How can I keep my face looking matte and oil-free? It's so annoying having to constantly reapply makeup throughout the day. Does primer really work?

What is the best type of foundation for combination/oily skin?

Hello everyone

I'm looking for some advice. I want to sew a "twirly" dress for my daughter but I HATE gathering. Is there an easier way to do it? I'm still pretty new at this so I have no idea what the best techniques are and how to do them. I've made a few dresses using gathering for the skirt part but they don't look very good and they don't twirl.

Thanks!

1) No matter what razor I use or what I put on my legs (shave gel/body wash/conditioner etc.), the backs of my thighs are really stubbly and gross after I shave. Help me get those shiny doll legs you see in Skintimate commercials!!
2) Any good and inexpensive sulfate and silicone-free shampoo and conditioners for dry hair? Preferably no "home recipes," please.
Thanks!

I love this new fabric and made a huge purse! I used a orange polka dot fabric for the lining and put lots of pockets. I just love it!

I got the fabric from purlsoho.com

I always have problems with ingrown hair on my legs. I've used regular razors, electric razors, veet/nair hair removal cream and I still get ingrown hair. Does anyone have any tips on how to stop this from happening, because right now I just have to pick them out with tweezers and it's really annoying.

My hair is naturally wavy, but it only starts to get wavy towards the end of my hair.
Is there any way I can get my hair wavy at the top?
Curling the top of my hair just makes it look weird, because the waves look too different.
And how do I make my hair look less weighed down? My hair is thin but there's a lot of it and I'm trying to grow it out. Would thinning it out help?

Thankyou for your help yesterday, I finally got the bag finished and it turned out...alright, but I messed up and ended up having the stictches on the outside. I'm dead special!

I would be immensely grateful if you could point me in the way of a tutorial/pattern to make a bag like this, because I have been wanting one FOREVER.

i usually do my own eyebrows with an eyebrow shaver, and it usually goes really smoothly.
not so much this time.
me being the EXTREMELY intelligent person that i am, decided to give it go while i was half-asleep, and when i say half asleep i mean slipping in and out of consciousness.
not my best judgment
So basically, I accidentally shaved off the middle of my left eyebrow, luckily my eyebrow hair grows back quickly, but I need a good eyebrow pencil that's cheap.
any suggestions?

thank you SO much for those that help.
i'm really the biggest ditz in the world and am suffering in a great deal of self hate right now.

Subject:Lush Products

Hi lovelies!

So, I've heard a lot of great things about Lush but also have heard a few mixed reviews. The most constant "negative" review that I have heard is that the products work fairly well but then it becomes an issue that if one tries to use a different product or go back to their old brand their skin retaliates and then that person can only use that Lush product they began to use to get their skin normal.

An other negative review I have heard is that the product works at first it works well but soon it makes the person break out badly, ect.

Anyway, I just wanted to hear some feedback about this "complaints" about Lush products and if all seems well I'd really like to at least try one of their products. I'm not sure what I would like yet, but what is your favourite/what product do you rec for trying out the line for the first time?

I'm open to body, face, hair or any other product that they sell so feel free to suggest anything.
If it makes any difference I have combination skin more on the dry side with the occasional bad breakout but mostly just a couple of pimples here and there that aren't too noticeable.
As for hair: my hair is short, about chin length and curly/wavy and somewhat healthy (dyed a few times but cut off the damage) but really, really dry.

So please rec me out to your hearts content! heh.

TIA
